This is a late post regarding my Nokia BT 503 Bluetooth Headset. So I got this item last Christmas 2012 as a gift from my workmate. Its customary here in the Philippines to  have “exchange gifts” during holidays and this is what I requested. Actually, I had 2 requests; 1 is the armband of Dwight Howard and the other one is the headset (you know what I preferred the most hehe). Good thing, the one who got my name bought this one instead of the armband. Lucky meeee! 😛

As for my own personal experience with this headset, the sound quality is pretty much good. As for the price, its relatively cheap compared to other Bluetooth headsets from Motorola, and Jabra. It costs as much as $20 USD though it can be bought from retailers as low as $18 USD or P750 php here in Manila. I haven’t really used it that much in calls so I can’t really comment regarding if its clear though at times it felt like the sound volume is low when I’m in a call. Its also comfortable to wear in the ears, Its light, durable and not easy to be removed when your wearing it. Standby time can last up to 2 weeks, though I use it only when I travel to and from the office. The downside of this headset is the configuration and pairing. The first time I used it I had a hard time in paring it to my Blackberry. I didn’t even know how to turn it on and how to pair it to other devices. I’ll give it a rating of 9 out of 10.

This are the technical specs of the headset:

  • Bluetooth v2.0
  • Profiles supported: Headset, Hands-Free, A2DP and AVRCP
  • Claimed talk time: 11 hours; play time: 11 hours
  • Claimed standby time: 210 hours
  • Head size: 5.9 x 2.95 x 6.1 inches
  • Headset weight: 3.7 ounces
  • AC Adapter: 100-240v

Well, that’s it for my first ever gadget review! 😀 Thanks for reading!
